My dog hurt his leg. how can i help him?

its not that severe but hes in a little pain. hes been limping. what can i do to help the pain. i will probably bring him to the vet but ill have to make an appointment, so i cant get any pain relievers or anything. what can i do to help him for now, until we bring him to the vet?
