Neopolitan Mastiffs...?

If you are looking for an active dog the Neo is not it. They are very mellow. All they want to do is eat, sleep, and make sure their family is safe. Towards strangers they are aggressive. That even means strange kids. Like I said they are highly protective and territorial especially males. Males are very dominant. Neos don't need that much exercise due to joint problems. All they need is a yard and that is enough. If you don't have a yard all you need to do is walk them once a day and that should be sufficient. Due to there size I wouldn't leave them around children. I had a 26 inch 165lbs Neo Male. He was great. I would say if you want a fierce protector and a lovable big lug go for it. I have a Cane Corso male now. I am thinking about getting another Neo. But make sure if you have a male dog already and your thinking about getting a male Neo make sure they get a long with each other. Neo are not afraid to fight.
