Is it realistic to hold a beach wedding ceremony on Hermosa Beach, CA?
I am planning our destination wedding in the LA, CA area. We are from Colorado. Admittedly, I suck at planning and should have budgeted to make a trip out when I decided on destination and bought our tickets. I have a few friends that have recently lived in the LA or Long Beach area, they are the only info I have about locations. We want a beach ceremony in the evening. Our date is SET for Monday June 6th of this year. Does anybody have an idea of how crowded it might be around 5-7 pm? All I hear from people is that it is a very nice, scenic area, and that people go to that beach more than any other in the area. Am I going to get hit in the head with a football by a surfer guy while I am saying my vows? Or would people be nice and keep their distance? Am I crazy for even considering it? We originally planned do have it on Long Beach. But AFTER I sent out the save the dates people started coming out of the woodwork saying it's dirty and industrial. Do you have any other suggestions for beach locations? And a nice (but not too nice) restaurant to eat at afterward recommendation would be much appreciated too. Thanks in advance!
